My family has lived in Shorewood for over twenty years. I grew up in Maine and have lived in big and small communities both in the United States and in Europe including Boston, Rochester, NY, Chicago, Paris, France, and Brussels, Belgium. Upon repatriating to the U.S. from Belgium in 2005, my wife, Kristine and I chose to raise our family in Shorewood largely because we value our community's natural setting and small-town community feel. Our three children received an outstanding education at Minnetonka schools. All three have benefited from the immersion program, Vantage, International Baccalaureate, music and theater programs. Our two sons are Eagle Scouts. Being a part of the community and serving it is who we are as a family.
Over the past nearly two decades in Minnesota I have been active in Shorewood and the broader Twin Cities community. I served our local Troop (424) as an Assistant Scout leader - where I took scouts on many fun camping trips and treks. I served on the Board of Directors as Treasurer / Chair of the Finance Committee for at Global Minnesota (formerly Minnesota International Center) – a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that delivers world-class educational, diplomatic, and corporate programs that connect Minnesota to the world. I teach a master's level course on Transfer Pricing at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business.
My education and experience prepared me to engage in process improvement and financial analysis. I am a certified public accountant (CPA) with an accreditation in business valuation, and I lead the transfer pricing and international business valuation practice at WTP Advisors. I have a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
I am now serving the fourth year of my first term with the Shorewood City Council, where I have emphasized listening to residents, fiscal responsibility, and maintaining the natural character of the community.
