Vision
My vision is a city government that is accountable to its citizens. It is fiscally responsible and engages residents with integrity, respect, and inclusiveness.
My priorities for Shorewood
Preserve the natural character of our community
Shorewood residents are concerned about losing the character of our neighborhoods.
We cherish our natural setting. We do not want our City to evolve into another cookie cutter suburb.
Raise accountability to residents
- A City that listens to its residents, gains their input and engages them in the solution is the benchmark for democracy.
- We need a conflict resolution process for residents and our City to settle disagreements.
- Our City needs to learn how to compromise and admit when it is wrong.
Use our limited resources more efficiently and effectively
- Shorewood residents want our City to use taxpayer resources more effectively and efficiently by striving to eliminate wasteful spending.
- For large projects, our City should complete independent consultant and qualified resident reviews to thoroughly vet major design and budget recommendations prior to council approval.
